I have strange problem  ONLY with Outlook 2013 64 bit IMAP connection. 

I am able to compose and send email. Email is received by the recipient. 

Sent message move to "Sent" folder (IMAP) BUT it shows as a draft in "sent" folder.  No time stamp of sent message, No options to reply and forward. 

Instead, it shows as a draft ready for further editing and sending..... 

Other Observations -  1. Email  displays properly in OWA  2. Issue is not obseved with Outlook 2K10 x64 and Outlook 2K13 x86  3. I don't think this issue has anything to do with profile as I am able to replicate this on different machines 4. Issue is observed on Windows 7 & B both. 

5. Recreating profile didn't help.

From the outlook logs I could make out that it is happening because outlook issues Append command with \DRAFT flag as following.

We did test this issue with outlook 2013 64 bit & we are not able to replicate this issue.

It might something unique in your environment

At this point of time I would suggest you to open phone support case with Microsoft as we need to do extensive troubleshooting and collect various logs which is not possible via this FORUM.

I have the same issue.  Once I send it the not eremains in the draft folder with a line thru the listing.  I want it gone so I do not multiply send items.

I have the exact same issue. Found the same logs

The sent emails appear as draft in the sent folder. I am also running a Outlook 2013 64bit version 15.0.4615.1002. I have this issue only with my IMAP account, no such issues with my Exchange account

Any ideas? I found some article stating that I should try to add the profile again. Tried with no success. Colleagues of mine on the exact same configuration but running outlook 2013 32 bit don't have this issue

Hello, any updates on this?  We are seeing the same issue on 2013 32bit with random eMails being marked as a draft in the Sent Items folder after sending?

The problem persists in Outlook 2016. It only happens when you edit a sent item (intending to have the modified copy saved in Drafts), but the modified copy replaces the original in Sent items. When you delete the saved Draft, the Sent item reverts to its original state.
